Thornybush Game Reserve (approximately 12 000 hectares) is well known for its abundance of Game. Offering a great diversity of wildlife, with over 56 Mammal species. For the birding enthusiasts, Monwana is now an accredited birding friendly establishment, as we are home to around 300 bird species.
Such a large population of creatures means game sightings are regular occurrences. Especially as you are guided by an experienced ranger and tracker who- on your morning game drive - will read the previous night's tracks and take you to where the excitement is. A quiet comfortable ride in an open-top Landrover affords you the best possible viewing experience. High tea is followed by another, pre-sundowners game drive.
The afternoon game drives lead into a night drive under the African Stars. Thornybush Game Reserve includes Big 5, Hyeana, Cheetah, Hippo and now also excellent Black Rhino viewing.
